LEGAL INFORMATION
Image rights
Competition entrants must ensure, prior to file submission, that they have obtained permission to use the images of individuals shown in their work, and if necessary from their parents or legal representatives in the case of minors. The Fondation du Festival de Jazz de Montreux cannot be held responsible for issues with non-compliant image rights in relation to work submitted as part of the competition.
Content and restrictions
Designs including racist, pornographic, violent, obscene or hurtful content will of course be rejected. Entrants must confirm that their work is original, and that they have ascertained the origin of images in order to avoid any plagiarism, for which the Fondation du Festival de Jazz de Montreux cannot be held responsible.
By entering the competition, entrants agree for their work to be reused in various communications and promotional materials for the event (printed, online and multimedia documents).
Intellectual property
Submitted designs must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights and cannot include images of other copyright-protected media (posters, advertisements, photographs, etc.), unless permission has been obtained from the rights holder.
By taking part in the competition, entrants whose designs are among the thirty posters selected by an in-house jury agree to their poster being reproduced free of charge for an exhibition in Montreux in summer 2021. The ten finalists agree to the sale of their poster, subject to payment of a 20% commission on the sales price.
The personal data of entrants and winners will be processed in accordance with data protection regulations.
Scope of competition rules
The rules apply to all competition entrants. The Fondation du Festival de Jazz de Montreux reserves the right to disqualify from the competition any individual who does not comply with these rules in their entirety, without providing a reason.
Restrictions
No correspondence will be entered into in relation to the competition. No legal appeals are permitted. By taking part in the competition, participants agree to these conditions of entry.
POSTER SUBMISSION
Posters should be submitted using the form on the ‘Restart Competition’ page and must comply with the conditions of entry. Entries that do not comply with these conditions will not be considered.
