The 2021 edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival is unlike any other edition since its beginning. This year, outdoor concerts on the lake broadcast their sounds on the water and in public spaces of the city. The multi-track recording of selected and freely choreographed moments, using synchronized and improvised wanderings, will capture the echoes of the concerts in the city and on the waterfront. The composition, drawn from these audio recordings, will give us the reality of a sonic space that is extended through the city, mixed and then reduced in loudspeakers to reflect a multi-site listening experience while playing with distances. The listener will thus be able to experience a sonic choreography of the town of Montreux in an extended way, as if he had the power to be in several places at the same time.
