Ayra Starr’s adventure began in Cotonou, but it was in Lagos, the capital of today’s Afrobeat sounds, that the young Beninese found her path. With one foot in fashion and the other in music, she was spotted on social networks and became the new recruit of Marvin Records, one of the most prolific labels on the African continent. In the wake of her eponymous EP, she presents a first album, 19 & Dangerous, whose straight-forward title sets the tone.  Determined to take her Afropop and R&B music across borders, Ayra Starr alternates between caresses and kicks with ambiguous, melodious and captivating sounds. A thousand different faces will quickly raise the temperature during this 100% African evening, which will conclude with Rema, another star of the Nigerian scene.
