Spearheading a new emerging scene, South Korean band The Rose lives up to its name. At the convergence of the softness of its petals and the sharpness of its thorns, this 4-piece band intends to blur the lines by not identifying itself with any specific musical genre. Their motto? To play the music they like, whether it’s rock or K-pop. With a real taste for experimentation, Woosung, Dojoon, Jaehyeong and Hajoon blend their voices and instruments in tracks that sound as electric as they do sensual. In October 2022, the quartet released their third album, Heal, after a two-year absence. Sung in Korean and English, these ten tracks clearly won over an audience determined to break down language barriers.
