Having grown up in the Ruhrgebiet region of western Germany and spending most of his twenties in Berlin, Monty returned to his native Amsterdam in 2018. Shortly afterwards, he founded Flippen Disks and became involved with the now-defunct Red Light Radio until the Covid pandemic put an end to most night-time activities.
Faced with this new situation, Monty set to work in the studio, working on various remixes for records by friends such as Lyckle De Jong and Marma Boog, and has just completed an EP of his own, to be released this year.
Monty DJ is an elusive musical mind, constantly modifying and transforming his musical vision.
