Myriam Stamoulis
Bassist alongside her mentor Patrick Vidal, founding member of the group Marie & les Garçons (ZE Records) produced by John Cale in the 70s, Myriam Stamoulis is as much at home in studio and live sessions as she is in DJ sets. She recently collaborated with New York musician Rhys Chatham in his avant-garde orchestra (six guitars, bass, drums & modular synthesizers) for the BBMIX festival. Also artistic director and producer, she helps develop the French musicians of La Femme in Greece and manages Dury Dava, a quintet with psychedelic-Anatolian accents from her native Athens.
A pioneer at heart, it was during her travels that she developed a passion for vinyl nuggets. Further exploration of club cultures led her to create incandescent mixes including rarities and other melodic curiosities. This research into the underground will initiate a unifying and cosmic journey to the farthest reaches of the night.
