Oscillating between catchy French pop and nostalgic chanson, Marie Jay (Lausanne, 22) embarks us on melodious narratives with which many can identify. With sincerity and freshness, she takes an informed look at the wonders and frustrations of everyday life. On stage, her words and hushed voice mingle with the gentle sound of her guitar, which she gladly puts down to simply dance, microphone in hand, accompanied by her musicians. After a year at London’s BIMM (2020-2021), and another at La GUSTAV (2022), she is currently supported and mentored by the Proxima (by Les Docks) and InKuba (by Catalyse) programs, and is currently working on the composition and self-production of her project.
