We invite 5×2 Insiders to discover the Venice Symphony evening from the “Sampling the World” series at the Café of the Museum of Ethnography in Geneva, on Thursday, September 12. The Insiders will have the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive meeting with Arthur Henry following his public presentation.
Equiped with microphones and recording devices, the Neuchâtel-based sound artist made stops in various cities around the world to capture the sounds of everything he encountered, from trash cans to trams, birds and residents.
Arthur Henry will present the sound portrait he created in Venice, as part of a New Echo System Residency organized in collaboration between Pro Helvetia and the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation. His presentation will be followed by a listening session of recordings related to the theme, taken from the International Archives of Popular Music.
