With his restive blend of pop, folk and soul, Asaf Avidan has been a dazzling success since his first album, The Reckoning, was released on the label he set up with his brother in 2008. Released at the height of his powers in 2020, his seventh album Anagnorisis, took the form of a search for identity. Boldly, he decided that all the vocals on the album would be his own: from piercing falsetto to theatrical baritone, he creates a gospel choir in his own right, revealing a breathtaking range of vocal techniques and shivering emotions. For this, his third concert in Montreux, Asaf Avidan will be alone on the intimate Casino stage. It promises to be a magical event, filled with androgynous flights of fancy, intimate torch songs and multi-instrumental prowess.
