When he’s not running the streets with his urban running collective Run Dem Crew, teaching yoga or advocating mental health and wellness among his peers, Charlie Dark MBE can be found spinning records on dancefloors the world over.
Raised in South London on pirate radio and warehouse parties, Charlie has been spinning records and setting dancefloors alight since the early eighties. If you’ve been to his Blacktronica nights, his sets at the legendary Plastic People or listened to his radio shows, you’ll know that “all forms of music in one room, as it used to be” has always been his motto, and that his record crates run deep.
With a vast collection of records covering many different genres, his energizing sets, mostly on vinyl, are known for their eclecticism, ranging from Dub to Disco, House, Funk, Soul Reggae, African gems and much more.
