Drawing in Music: JP Kalonji (Caran d’Ache)
Born in Geneva to a family originally from the Congo, Kalonji is passionate about classical and Japanese painting. He began his career abroad, working in New York, London and Japan before returning to Carouge.
Painter, illustrator and author, his inspirations and techniques allow him to change his style as he pleases.
His works breathe out the emotions created by the artist’s humanist visions, which make him a committed player.
Passionate about classical painting, Kalonji is artist-in-residence at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire, where he passes on his passion to enthusiasts, and ambassador for the Caran d’Ache brand, whose ranges he loves.
