FRA! is a band with a surprisingly fresh sound and a feel-good, danceable energy. from afrobeat, highlife and afro-funk, interspersed with rock elements. At first, the music was just an occasional thing. However, playing together regularly as a cover band at shows and concerts enabled each member of the group to realize that the synergy they had could be directed into a productive venture that could bring profits to the band itself. On this basis, the decided to professionalize and formed a band called FRA! in 2015. The name “FRA” comes from the Akan language (a local Ghanaian language) and means “MIX”. It refers to the different musical musical influences of the band members.
