Hermanos Gutiérrez is a guitar duo formed by Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez in Zurich, 2015. The Ecuadorian-Swiss brothers draw their inspiration from the desert landscapes and traditional music of Latin America, their unique style blends haunting slide guitar with cinematic melodies, evoking spaghetti western soundtracks. Recorded under the direction of Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, their album El Bueno y el Malo (2022) propelled them onto the international scene. Over the years, a special bond has grown between the two guitarists and the Festival. They participated in the recording of one of the very first Spotlight Sessions, before enchanting audiences on the “small” Scène du Lac in 2021, then at the Lab in 2023. Their return to the Scène du Lac this summer, alongside The Black Keys, promises to be an evening full of surprises.
