Imelda Gabs
Exploring the depth of pop music, Imelda Gabs is a Belgian singer, pianist, songwriter and producer based in Switzerland. With a classical background and multiple influences from Jazz to Electro music, she likes to mix genres, constantly looking for the edge. In 2012 at only 14, she performed at the prestigious Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels (BE), which also happened to be her last performance with her father, world-renowned jazz pianist Doctor Gabs, who passed away one year later. 2017 would mark a turning point in her career as she got the opportunity to participate in the Montreux Jazz Academy with world-renowned mentors including Marcus Miller, Yaron Herman and Elina Duni. She got invited a few months later at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Auditorium Stravinski, opening for Lianne La Havas and The Roots. Her first and self-produced single Fallen Angel opens a new chapter in her journey, brilliantly infusing her dark pop and alternative sound with cinematic visuals. She’s currently working on her second single and her debut EP.
