Joe Bonamassa
“You will be a legend before you’re 25”, B.B. King predicted when he was only… 12 years old. Thirty years later, the American guitar hero continues to shake the blues-rock world at breakneck speed. His guitars (with this compulsive collector, the plural is necessary) sound powerful and menacing when playing with supergroup Black Country Communion, tender and melodic with Beth Hart, or mean and wickedly groovy with Rock Candy Funk Party. Joe Bonamassa regularly pays tribute to his heroes: the “3 Kings” (B.B., Albert & Freddie), on the album Live at the Greek Theatre, or his absolute masters Clapton, Beck and Page, on British Blues Explosion. In 2012, he participated in Re-Machined, a reinterpretation of Deep Purple’s legendary album, recorded you know where… This summer, Joe Bonamassa will perform for the third time at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
