Nile Rodgers & CHIC
Nile Rodgers is first and foremost a legendary sound signature that is recognizable among thousands and that has permeated the tracks of CHIC, Daft Punk or David Bowie. The New Yorker gave birth to some of the greatest disco hits like “The Freak” and influenced the hip-hop movement with the track “Good Times”. At home in disco, funk or pop, Nile Rodgers has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Singwriters Hall of Fame. On stage, CHIC is a transcendent experience, enhanced by Nile Rodgers’ inimitable riffs on his Stratocaster. At the Montreux Jazz Festival, he notably created the crazy disco-funk night “Freak Out” in 2012 with Mark Ronson and Grace Jones. It was also in Montreux that he worked on a David Bowie album that perfectly sums up the spirit of the concert that awaits us at the Stravinski… Let’s Dance!
