Mali Larrington-Nelson, aka Shy One, lives and breathes eclectic and diverse sets and productions. Starting out as a pirate radio DJ in her teens, Shy One was exposed to and influenced by the full range of sounds that her hometown of London has birthed and nurtured over the years. Like many young Londoners at the time, it was grime and the larger family of London club music that inspired Shy One to get more into music. Continuing to dig into her own sound, she eventually caught the attention of Scratcha DVA, who went on to release the Decaffeinated Love EP and her debut album Bedknobs and Boomkicks in 2012.
