Under The Cherry Moon – Prince & M. Ballhaus (1986), with Prince and Guy Cuevas, presented by Guy Cuevas (Cinémathèque suisse)

In Nice, Christopher Tracy, a peerless pianist from Miami, turns the heads of the ladies in order to capture their fortunes. His business is going well until he crosses paths with Mary Sharon, a young millionaire, who makes him understand the meaning of love… Originally directed by Mary Lambert, who is responsible for Madonna’s most sultry video clips, Under the Cherry Moon was eventually finished by Prince himself, whose whims and demands pushed the director to the limit.

Screenings at the Cinémathèque suisse au Capitole resume on 28 August. Full details at live.cinematheque.ch
