Workshop by MJAF: Drawing & Music, Venice New Echo System: Léo Tardin & Enrico Terragnoli (Caran d’Ache)

Drawing, the secret garden of Geneva pianist Léo Tardin, has regained a central place in his artistic work. His project ‘Le piano illustré’, which combines music and graphics, is the culmination of this. Driven by a sensitivity to detail and a penchant for ordinary poetry, his world oscillates between Japanese landscapes and psychedelic sketches.
During his concerts, he plays his Caran d’Ache coloured pencil drawings on a set of pedals at the same time as he plays the keyboard, creating a dialogue between the sound and the image projected at the back of the stage, accompanied for the occasion by Verona guitarist Enrico Terragnoli.
