Workshop by MJAF: Relire Gainsbourg en 2024 with Laurent Balandras & Marlone
Running time: 45 minutes
Performance ‘Rereading Gainsbourg in 2024’ to recontextualise the artist’s texts with Laurent Balandras, author of the book Les Petits Papiers de Gainsbourg, and the young Lyon rapper Marlone. A scathing read-through of Serge Gainsbourg’s work, produced in collaboration with the Maison Gainsbourg.
After a wait of more than 32 years, the Maison Gainsbourg has established itself as a key cultural venue in Paris, dedicated to the transmission of Serge Gainsbourg’s work, since its opening in September 2023. Conceived and led by his daughter Charlotte, this project offers a plunge into the heart of the artist’s creative and personal universe.
The Maison Gainsbourg offers a visitor experience at two sites on rue de Verneuil in Paris (7th arrondissement):
- 5 bis: the historic house in which Serge Gainsbourg lived for 22 years, a legendary interior preserved intact since his death in 1991.
- Opposite, at number 14: a museum retracing the life and career of the artist, a bookshop and the Gainsbarre, a café and piano bar, to extend the visit.
