You & The Pop

Created in 2013 by French guitarist and saxophonist Romain Fitoussi, You And The Pop is a trio that covers the greatest hits of Pop Music from the 70s to 2018 in an instrumental musical style invoking jazz, house music and other styles in between. Both faithful and re-appropriated, You and The Pop’s music is both accessible and creative.

The trio’s work includes jazz by Daft Punk, deep-house by Ray Charles and electro-jazz by the Pixies, but they’re particularly keen to revisit all the great hits of the “French electronic touch”, such as Mojo, Martin Solveig, Daft Punk and Cassius, in instrumental jazz versions that are irresistible for dancing or even singing along to.

Like deejaying, You And The Pop’s setlists are never planned in advance. Interacting with the audience, the trio always ask themselves what the next track will be, blurring the boundaries between artists and audience to create a musical communion.
