Zucchero

Swiss exclusivity

At sixty-eight years of age, with sixty million albums sold and significant collaborations with John Lee Hooker, Sting and Bono behind him, Zucchero is unquestionably one of the world’s leading blues-rock performers. The composer of ‘Senza Una Donna’ recently released his very first album of covers – proof of his musical curiosity and eclecticism. His raw, heartfelt interpretations of songs by Coldplay, Rag’n’Bone Man and Moby are reminiscent of Johnny Cash’s valedictory tours de force. With each of his performances at Montreux, Zucchero has left a lasting impression. His duet with Solomon Burke in 2004 and his magnificent series of acoustic performances on the lake in 2021 are just a few examples. This summer, for his fifth visit to the Festival, the anthems, fervour and vocal power of the Italian singer will once again resound across the waters of Lake Geneva.
