It all started with a rather absurd question: how can you photograph a song? The only way is to photograph it through the emotions it provokes. For the Rubber Ring project, Yann Zitouni photographs people as they listen to the song that changed their lives, the one that will never betray them. He then selects a few images and assembles them into a portrait of the song in less than ten snapshots. Then it’s the audience’s turn to play, trying to guess which song it is.
